Metropolitan Police face Thatcham Town at Imber Court on Saturday looking to secure a first win in eight Isthmian League Division One – South Central games.
Metropolitan Police have lost four and drawn three matches since they last earned three points – against Guernsey on February 17.
They face a Thatcham side who have won two and drawn two over that time.
With 35 goals in 35 games so far this season, Metropolitan Police are the league’s second-lowest scorers with 1.0 goals per game. And they are conceding more than average, letting in 60 goals at a rate of 1.7 per game.
Thatcham, meanwhile, are above average scorers, with 1.8 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.6. They have conceded 1.6 goals per game.
The hosts are 17th in the table after 35 games, of which they have won eight and drawn eight, earning 32 points.
Town are nine places ahead of Metropolitan Police in eighth, with 15 wins and seven draws putting them on 52 points.
Metropolitan Police’s last match was on April 6, a 2-0 draw against Sutton Common Rovers.
Thatcham lost 5-4 against Marlow last time out, also on April 6.
