JOE Duckworth’s double during 60 second-half seconds kept Witton Albion’s play-offs hopes alive.
They wobbled briefly after Lucas Weir’s equaliser cancelled out Brandon Newell’s opener, and were grateful to goalkeeper Danny Roberts for a brilliant reaction save to thwart Tom Carr when the teams were tied at 1-1.
Duckworth stayed calm to convert a penalty after Leek’s captain Marc Grocott had fouled Tom Pope, then slalomed through the champions’ defence before shooting past Dino Visser.
