SOUTH Central champions Chertsey Town battled past Sutton Common Rovers to seal a 2-0 victory in their penultimate game of the season.
In a game that summed up their title comforts – sitting 11 points clear – Chertsey sealed all three points in the space of three second-half minutes, even if it took until after the hour mark.
Coming in the 63rd minute, Chad Goulter opened the scoring for the title winners, who finally found their breakthrough, before Reece Robins put the game out of reach just three minutes later.
