BEFORE we commence with this week’s update, allow me just to clear up a couple of points which have caused confusion recently.
Firstly, I mentioned last week that Dulwich Hamlet were leading their real-world league at the end of February. This was not the case. This, however, was only an error on the editorial update and I did not award them the 25 bonus points.
Secondly, the Ryman Premier game last Sunday between Wingate & Finchley and Thurrock was abandoned after 82 minutes when the home team had five players sent off.
In FNL terms, if a game is abandoned and then replayed, I take the result from the replayed game. The Ryman League say a decision will be made very soon on whether or not the result will stand or the game be replayed, so until then no points will be awarded for that fixture.
As we are now in the middle of March, I thought, next week, we would take a look at the front runners for the end-of-season cash prizes. Also, we’ll look at which teams have been lead-ing the way in each league since your substitutions were activated back in January.
Today’s update covers the period from Sunday March 3 to Saturday March 9.
The top three teams this week in the March Manager of the Month are: 1 Briggers 682pts (512th); 2 Tutbarn-stormers 658pts (325th), 3 Blossom Utd 649pts (57th).
The top give teams who have scored the most points over the past seven days are: 1 The Valleymen 470pts (476th), 2 MSV Duisburg 446pts (653rd), 3 Hutch End FC 445pts (119th), 4 Poppys Posse 445pts (167th), 5 Belper Seadogs 2 444pts (223rd).
