Fleet’s Wright on track

IT’S NOT all that long ago that Benfleet were hit with an eviction notice – now they’re revived and creating history after reaching Step 5 for the first time in their history.
The Essex club only entered the National League System in 2018-19 but continue to climb after winning the Eastern Counties League Division One title.
And no-one is more surprised at their rapid rise than chairman Dan Wright, who admits the club’s success has come sooner than anyone expected.
