Gateshead lads are off on a jolly with the FA Trophy but shootout hero James Montgomery can’t wait to be back home.
While the Heed’s Wembley winners are heading to the airport, Montgomery will be flying solo on the train to get back to baby daughter Renee, who came into dad’s life on April 26.
He will probably be doing so with a sore head, vowing to make the very most of his night down in the capital following Gateshead’s glory, but the decision to leave his passport behind was always a no brainer.
