Stourbridge have appointed Liam McDonald as their new manager, less than 24 hours after he announced his departure from Rushall Olympic.
The former Redditch United, Hednesford Town and Solihull Moors boss has agreed a two-year contract with Southern Premier Central Stourbridge.
McDonald replaces Darryl Knights, who had overseen the final month of the campaign, which saw the Glassboys finish 12th in Step 3.
Chairman Andy Pountney commented on his appointment on the club’s official website:
“We are excited that he has decided to join us and we are all looking forward to the new adventure we are about to embark on.
“We believe that Liam will be the man who can get us back up the league and pushing for a place in the play offs and hopefully more in time to come.”
It’s the second managerial appointment at the War Memorial Athletic Ground this week – Adrian Clements has stepped in to oversee the Women’s side for the 2024/25 season.
