Goalkeeper Nick Hayes is the sixth player to sign for Barnet this summer.
Hayes arrives from Ipswich Town. The 6’4 stopper is familiar to Barnet fans, having been part of the team which knocked the Bees out of the play-offs earlier this month while on loan for Solihull Moors.
The 25-year-old has also represented the likes of Dunstable Town, Salford City and Southend United.
Barnet manager Dean Brennan told the club’s official website:
Nick has the right type of character that we have been searching for. His attributes suit our philosophy and he has the correct mentality that we need to bring success to our football club.
“Nick signs a long term contract with us which is brilliant. I know his personality; he will be a very popular member of our squad and a player that I know our supporters will be delighted to join me in welcoming him to our Club.”
Hayes made 28 appearances at Solihull last season, keeping nine clean sheets for the National League Promotion Final and FA Trophy runners-up.
