Salisbury have signed two players who shone against them last season.
Striker Rafa Ramos netted twice against the Whites last season for Gosport Borough.
Ramos’ brace contributed to Boro’ knocking Salisbury out of the FA Trophy last year. He scored 12 goals in Southern Premier South for Gosport, who were knocked out by Salisbury in the play-offs.
Manager Brian Dutton told the club’s official website:
“I’m delighted to secure the big man Rafa Ramos for next season. He was a player we came up against on four occasions last season for Gosport Borough, and he was a thorn in our side each time.
“He adds a different dimension to our attack, being 6ft 3 and very powerful, and he scored 28 goals in all competitions last season, which is a fantastic return.
“I’m sure the Salisbury fans will welcome him and enjoy his contribution next season.”
The former Hamworthy United and Bashley forward has been joined in Wiltshire by Jordan Ragguette.
The versatile left-sided player was at AFC Totton last term and another who faced Salisbury in the play-offs, appearing in the final for Jimmy Ball’s side.
A former St Vincent and Grenadines U21 international, Ragguette impressed Dutton who told the club website he expects him to be a ‘fans favourite’.
Salisbury will be competing in National League South next season for the first time since the club’s reform in 2015.
