SOUTHERN League Division One Central outfit Hadley enjoyed a dream European debut last weekend – beating San Marino opposition 9-1!
The trip to face AC Juvenes Dogana was organised by committee member Chris Nash, who almost 20 years ago set out on a challenge to watch a match in each of UEFA’s member nations. San Marino was the last of 55 on his list.
On a memorable day, he conducted the ceremonial kick-off, but also came on as a 55th minute substitute and provided the assist for Hadley’s seventh goal.
