MARK Beesley thought his career was over after suffering a devastating cruciate ligament injury at the age of 24.
The forward – then at Forest Green Rovers – was even warned by doctors that he might lose his leg.
Yet within 18 months he had returned to form a prolific strike partnership with Stuart Fleetwood and subsequently reaffirmed his reputation as one of the most intelligent forwards outside the Football League.
