Adam Campbell re-signs for Hartlepool United

have confirmed Adam Campbell as their fourth signing this summer.

The striker has joined from Crawley Town following the expiration of his contract.

Campbell helped Crawley secure promotion to Sky Bet League One via the play-offs last season and made 45 appearances in the league, scoring seven goals.

The -born forward started out at Newcastle United and played three times for the Magpies in the Premier League in the 2012/13 season.

The 29-year-old had a loan spell at Hartlepool from Newcastle two years later before representing the likes of and , winning the title with the latter in 2022.

Campbell told the official club website:

“I’m really excited to be here. I know some of the players and staff here already, and from meeting the gaffer I can’t wait to get going.

“I play better when I’m happy and settled, so moving back home was a big factor in the move.

“But I wouldn’t come here if the ambition didn’t align with mine – I want to help get this club back into the Football League.”
