CHATHAM Town secured their first win of the season with a 2-0 victory over Bowers & Pitsea at The Len Salmon Stadium yesterday.
Freddie Sears had the best chance of a first half otherwise bereft of opportunities but Rhys Byrne kept himself big and was able to block the former West Ham United striker’s effort.
TQ Addy had Bowers’ only real effort of note-but his free-kick sailed over the top.
