■ EAST Grinstead controlled the early stages, but fell behind after 28 minutes when a calamitous error by Matte Pierson in the Grinstead goal gifted the first goal to Redhill.
Redhill then had goalkeeper Luke Wynn-Roberts to thank for keeping their lead with a couple of excellent saves.
Grinstead got on terms when Ollie Spinks finished across the keeper and into the far corner, only for Redhill to take the lead again when poor defending left Jaevon Dyer with space to fire at goal but Pierson could only parry the ball into the net.
