■ DARLASTON dominated throughout, but left it late to confirm a safe passage past rivals Lye.
Kieran Miller gave the hosts the perfect start, picking up possession after crisp passing before unleashing an unstoppable drive beyond the reach of keeper Matt Hill.
Darlo kept coming but it took until the 80th minute for the second to arrive. Lye defender Sam Hall diverted Rivel Mardenborough’s centre into his own net to blot what had been a pretty pristine copybook alongside fellow centre-half Andy Parsons until that point.
