Dorking Wanderers v Boreham Wood is the standout match from nine games in National League South this evening.
Last year’s relegated sides from the National League meet at Meadowbank with identical records of two wins, three scored and one conceded. They’ll be hoping to overtake Hemel Hempstead Town, who went top on Monday night with a 1-0 win at nine man Aveley.
Farnborough are the other side with a maximum return. They’re home to Eastbourne Borough in another eye-catching contest between two sides who’ve continued the momentum from strong ends to last season. Both Boros won 1-0 on Saturday.
Bath City host Torquay United where Cody Cooke, Dan Hayfield and Jordan Dyer return to Twerton Park. The three made over 300 appearances combined for the Romans before switching to Plainmoor in the summer. City beat Welling United at the weekend while Torquay’s troubles on the road (two away wins in 2024) continued with a loss at Farnborough.
Slough Town travel to a newly promoted team for the second game running. They’re at Enfield Town who overcame Weston-super-Mare on Saturday while Slough lost at Salisbury. Like Slough, Weston have a second successive match at a side who were in Step 3 last term. They’re at Chesham United this evening, the Generals lost at home to Boreham Wood at the weekend.
St Albans City play their first away game this season where Hornchurch are the hosts. The Saints have one point from two matches since David Noble’s return as manager.
Maidstone United will be looking to bounce back from Saturday’s loss to Truro City. They’re at home to Hampton & Richmond Borough, who have thrown away five points from winning positions so far and saw manager Alan Julian sent from the dugout at the weekend.
Salisbury host Truro City while Weymouth face Chippenham Town, where both are looking for their first point this campaign.
Worthing v Welling United has been rearranged with the hosts’ stadium underdoing renovation.
