LEWES made it four wins out of four to maintain their 100 per cent start.
Cray were looking to bounce back from two consecutive defeats but found it hard going in the first half against a confident Rooks side who have now won nine in a row going back to last season.
After a fairly even start, the Rooks began to threaten and took the lead in the 13th minute when Matt Warren crossed from the right and Eddie Allsopp was on hand to turn the ball over the line.
