SHOLING came from behind to deservedly go through at the expense of a below-par Basingstoke.
The opening half hour contained little excitement until Liam Ferdinand put the hosts in front, flicking a Billy Upton knock-down over the line from Rudy Allen’s free-kick.
The goal sparked the game into life and Sholing equalised five minutes later, Charlie Gunson finishing off a good move down the right-hand side from the edge of the box.
