■ NINE-man Morpeth Town held on to progress after a war of attrition at Craik Park against Emley.
After taking the lead just before half-time – Luke James netting his first for the Highwaymen – home skipper Jeff Henderson was dismissed for a deserved straight red card after hauling down Amir Berchill when clean through on goal.
Despite seeing the vast majority of the ball in the second half, the visitors couldn’t find a clear sight of goal, a back-post volley straight at keeper Dan Langley the best chance.
