TOOTING Bec chairman Steffan Wells has insisted he wants to ‘move on’ from the whirlwind of publicity that accompanied his side’s forfeited FA Vase tie with Newhaven – after the home side forgot their kit!
Bec were due to host the East Sussex side, who made an 80-mile round trip, at their adopted Chipstead home in Surrey last Sunday but issues in getting the kit to the ground eventually saw the match postponed with both teams, match officials and spectators all in attendance.
