DBS not at fault

AS a senior academic in a health faculty, I managed the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and then the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) from inception in 2001 until my retirement in 2017.
The disclosure part of the process is often not fully understood.
Kiernan Hughes-Mason (NLP, Aug 23) should have notified these clubs of his charge, but it will not appear on a DBS until he is convicted.
