LEWES lost their 100 per cent win record but held onto their unbeaten run and top spot despite being run close by Carshalton.
For the Rooks, this was their second goalless draw in a week, after going out on penalties to Harefield United in the FA Cup in midweek.
Carshalton started brighter in a first-half as dull as the overcast weather, yet the first chance came to Lewes when Marcus Sablier set up top scorer Danny Bassett, who put his shot straight at Robins keeper Mackenzie Foley.
