THE Crows battled hard to earn victory in an action-packed game.
The decisive moment came in the 48th minute when Harvey Beckett stabbed home from close range after the Poppies failed to clear a dangerous inswinging corner from Josh Coldicott-Stevens.
This was the catalyst for the game to spring to life after a closely-fought first half that saw a great chance wasted by Tiago Silva Nassunculo for Royston when clean through.
Kettering’s best chance saw Wes York head narrowly over when he should really have hit the target.
