■ BEN Pope’s stunning strike set Burgess Hill on the way to the next round at the expense of hosts Southall. With only three minutes on the clock, Pope intercepted a goal-kick from Southall’s Kojusoluwa Abayomi before returning it on the half-volley over his head.
Not content with that party piece, Pope kept a ball alive midway through the first half before beating his marker and crossing for Alex Brewer to double the lead.
