STOCKSBRIDGE Park Steels blew Widnes away in secure place in the next round. Widnes did start off as the better team but Stocksbridge rallied and got the opening goal. Tom Charlesworth whipped in a cross and Ste Irwin couldn’t do anything but put it into his own net. In the second half, Joao Silva jumped onto a Widnes mistake and raced through and scored with a classy fi nish. Widnes tried to get one back but they struggled to create clear cut chances. This meant the Steels could go on to seal the game.
