FORMER Cambridge, Wrexham and Stockport County left-back James Jennings has taken his first steps into management after being named as assistant boss at Cheadle Heath Nomads.
Jennings, 37, will act as number two to Adam May, who has been promoted to the top job of the North West Counties Division One South side after Paul Fay stepped down. Fay runs the Altrincham Academy and opted to stand aside owing to increasing workload. He took the Nomads to their highest ever league position, boasting a squad with an average age of under 21.
