Bracknell Town appoint Jon Underwood as new manager

Jon Underwood has been confirmed as the new manager of .

The former boss has replaced Jordan Ive at the Pitching In club. Ive stepped down a week ago soon after a shock 1st Qualifying Round exit to .

Underwood resigned from in April after 14 months in charge, which ended with relegation to Step 4.

Previously, he and Neil Baker (pictured left above) had enjoyed nine years of success at Slough Town, leading them to two promotions, play-offs and a run to the FA Cup 2nd Round in 2018.

The new manager told the club’s official website:

“I’m honoured to join such a proud club with a rich history.

“I’m eager to get started and work with the current talented squad, and staff, and also look to bring in some new faces.

“I believe together we can achieve great things.”

Underwood’s first game in charge will be on 21 September against league leaders .

Bracknell have made the play-offs in the last two seasons and are currently 7th with seven games played, two points from the top five.
