FAREWELL TO MR CURZON!

TRIBUTES have been paid to Curzon Ashton founder Harry Twamley, who died on Tuesday aged 82 following a lengthy illness.
Twamley, who served the club for more than 60 years and remained a director, has been described as ‘irreplaceable’ by the club which has pledged to continue his legacy.
It was back in 1963 when Harry and his mates formed Curzon Amateurs as they were then known, an amalgamation of Hurst Wesleyans (Curzon Road Methodists) and Assheton Amateurs.
