■ CITY of Liverpool paid the perfect tribute to club legend Jason Morland who sadly died last week by brushing past Pontefract Colliery in Friday night’s FA Trophy tie, with Elliot Morris grabbing a hat-trick.
City of Liverpool grew into the game and took advantage, Elliot Morris scoring after half an hour.
This gave the Purples increased confidence, which turned into something tangible with Morris’s second goal.

After 57 minutes, Morris put his claim on the match-ball by converting a penalty.
Pontefract knew their fate, their misery coming ...
