■ CLITHEROE clicked into gear very swiftly but squandered a number of golden chances in the first half.
The home side then took the lead seconds after the restart when Miles Storey’s testing cross induced an own goal from Andrew Burn’s defensive header.
The home pressure was relentless, and Connor High doubled the score after settling on the edge of the box and expertly picking his spot.
