RYAN CRESSWELL says he could not ignore the lure of Step 3 football after swapping Sheffield FC for Matlock Town.
The 36-year-old was hand-picked by the NPL Premier strugglers after enjoying a successful three-year spell with the world’s oldest football club, keeping them stable in NPL East.
Cresswell has been tasked with rescuing the Gladiators, who sit bottom of the table after a disappointing start to the season which cost predecessor Nicky Law his job.
