EIGHT games, 34 goals. Night one of the, in some quarters, maligned National League Cup was definitely entertaining if nothing else.
With three wins, three draws and two defeats for the National League sides, the fifth tier matched up pretty well with the youthful elite from Premier League 2, even if managers did give into the temptation of shuffling their packs.
