BLYTH Spartans put Hartlepool United to the sword with a convincing victory in the National League U19 Alliance Division G.
After a disappointing 3-1 loss last time out for the home side against Farsley Celtic, a reaction was needed and that is what they got.
The Spartans came out of the blocks rapidly, scoring four first half goals, and taking the game away from Hartlepool.
Patrick Nolan opened the scoring in the 24th minute, followed by a goal from Joe Younes three minutes later.
