WHITBY TOWN started a new era with a 1-1 draw, having parted company with Nathan Haslam earlier in the week. Stand-in boss Gary Liddle dropped himself and assumed managerial duties, and the Seasiders came from a goal down: Stephen Walker stooped to nod in from close range to level it after Nathan Buddle’s header put the hosts in front.
