■ CONGLETON Town will feel aggrieved not to have picked up at least a point against Widnes.
The Bears focused on defence after referee Daniel Sykes sent off Will Arnold for two harsh yellow cards, and it looked like the game was heading for a draw until Sharif Deans slotted home five minutes from time.
Widnes took the lead after just five minutes when Matty Rain’s free-kick wasn’t cleared, allowing Adam Bott to pick his spot from 25 yards out.
