A HAT-TRICK from Ibrahim Olutade saw Margate make up ground to the play-offs.
It took the visitors 40 minutes to break the deadlock when the hosts were unable to clear a corner and Olutade stabbed home.
Before that, Olutade and Ben Greenhalgh should have scored, while The Ites could only muster a Gil Carvalho shot in reply.
Ten minutes into the second half and a Gate free-kick was headed home by Olutade from close range.
