ROYSTON TOWN made life hard for themselves but did enough to edge past Cambridge City and seal their place in the 2nd Round.
Royston started well and found themselves ahead after just eight minutes, making their early pressure tell.
Joshua Coldicott-Stevens perfectly timed his through ball to Archie Locke, who’s powerful low cross deflected off a City defender and into the back of Tom Middlehurst’s net.
The Crows doubled their lead just three minutes later when Damaray Anyadike was bought to ground by Middlehurst.
