WHITBY Town picked up their first home win of the season and their first victory under manager Gary Liddle against plucky Prescot.
The visitors’ away woes continue though they played their full part in this game.
It was the Merseysiders who showed first with Shane Bland out quickly to save with his feet from John Murphy on 24 minutes.
