SAMIR Ali was Bowers & Pitsea’s super-sub, as his first goal for the club earned a win over ten-man Hendon.
The hosts started well, with Geoffrey Okonkwo poking just wide from Yannis Ambroisine’s knock down.
Hendon goalkeeper Luke Campbell was then called upon to deny Jacob Bland from Stanley Skippers’ cutback.
Campbell then denied TQ Addy from a cross-cum-shot before Rhys Byrne produced a great save to tip Billie Busari’s curling strike over the top.
