LLAST SEASON’S FA Vase runners-up Great Wakering Rovers went out of the competition at the first hurdle, losing a penalty shoot-out against Great Yarmouth Town following a 2–2 draw at Burroughs Park.
Sam Adams gave the Bloaters the lead after 12 minutes before Callum Boylan levelled matters 10 minutes into the second half. Charlie Barber restored the Yarmouth lead, only for Harrison Topliss to force the shoot-out with an equaliser three minutes from the end. The Bloaters held their nerve better to win 4–3.
