WHEN are we going to have a formal discussion on the standard of refereeing across all levels of Non-League football.
The performance of referees and assistants are deteriorating week after week, yet the authorities appear to devote all their efforts on protecting them, ignoring that maybe they need additional training or development.
Many lack the requisite management skills, expertise, or ability to successfully implement the laws of the game; they are currently the world’s most protected species.
