A WAVE of positivity has finally descended on Blyth Spartans after a community-led takeover rescued the Croft Park club from a nightmare era under former owner Irfan Liaquat.
Spartans faced a battle for survival in more ways than one with the club’s position so perilous they were forced to postpone two home games because they did not meet the legal requirements to stage them.
