■ JOSH ANIFOWOSE and Brooklyn Kabongolo fired Aveley past National League South rivals Hemel Hempstead yesterday.
Razzaq Coleman De-Graft and David Kawa both come within inches of putting Aveley ahead inside five minutes, with the former denied by an outstanding save from Hemel’s James Holden.
He was at it again to keep out Imran Uche but after the break, the hosts deservedly took the lead.
Anifowose’s free-kick took a deflection off the wall and ended up in the net and a corner then saw Kabongolo nestle in the goal for 2-0.
