GAVIN Hurren revealed how an instant connection with his new chairman eased the tough call to step down a level to take over at Hednesford Town.
The ex-Mansfield Town and Kidderminster Harriers defender walked away from Step 3 play-off chasers Stratford Town to succeed one of Non-League’s most decorated bosses Steve King in the dugout of the ambitious NPL West giants.
