■FROZEN pitches and snow wiped out the entire first division, while only two games survived the wintry conditions in the second division.
Horden CW moved to the top of the table after a hard fought 2-1 win at mid-table Sunderland West End, Horden now with a one point lead over Yarm & Eaglescliffe. After missing a great chance in the opening minute Horden forged ahead ten minutes from the break when Jack Pounder broke through.
Undeterred, West End were back on level terms within two minutes when Craig Linsel found the back of the net.
It was title-chasing Horden, however...
