NICKY LIFTS LYDD DONN’S IN AT AFC

FORMER Gillingham, Bolton Wanderers and Nottingham Forest, and Norwich City midfielder Nicky Southall has been appointed head coach of struggling Lydd Town.
Southall, 52, comes in a fortnight after leaving fellow Southern Counties East Premiers Division side Lordswood.
He replaces caretaker player-boss Ryan Smith at The Lindsey Field and has been joined by Dave Smith, who has returned to the club as chairman of football operations.
