■BUCKLAND ATHLETIC defied the blustery conditions to sweep aside Bridgwater United 4-0 and move up to fourth in one of only two games to survive the weather.
Storm Bert blew a hole through the fixture list with seven games called off, including leaders Brixham’s trip to Ilfracombe Town and second-placed Clevedon Town’s visit to Torpoint Athletic.
That left Buckland Athletic with the chance to close the gap on their promotion rivals and they took full advantage with an impressive victory at the Robins.
