FC HALIFAX TOWN will be without centre-back Ben Futcher for the foreseeable future following his appointment as temporary assistant manager of Bury.
The defender, who is a youth coach for the Shakers, joined the Shaymen on a season-long loan earlier this summer but has been handed a new role following the departure of Bury boss Richie Barker.
The news comes as a huge blow to Shaymen manager Neil Aspin, who told the club’s website: “He was the type of player we were looking for all of last season so to then get him and lose him is very disappointing and it causes a problem, but in football you always have problems and you have to deal with them.
“We know it will be difficult to replace him because of the type of defender he is but once we know his situation we will look to resolve it.”
