FRENCHMAN Benoit Dalibard has had his Hereford United contract cancelled.
The 21-year-old defender joined the Bulls on a short-term deal in August 2011 and later put pen-to-paper on an 18-month contract in January this year.
However, a series of injuries have prevented him being regularly involved with the first team and he has been feeling homesick in recent weeks.
Dalibard requested to have his contract cancelled and Bulls boss Martin Foyle granted his wish over the weekend.
Confirming the news on the club’s website, Foyle said: “Bruno was visibly upset on Saturday, he is very homesick and asked if we would let him return to France.
“We didn’t have to let him go, especially when we had interest from Football League clubs in the summer for him, but I am not going to stand in anyone’s way, especially when a player misses his family.”There are more important things in life than football.”
