HAYWARDS HEATH TOWN failed to close the gap on leaders Hassocks as they suffered a 2-0 defeat at home to third-placed Roffey.
James Pearse and Jordan Mase were both on target for the away side, who are now just three points behind second-placed Heath. Hassocks weren’t involved in league action at the weekend but remain 11 points clear at the top of the table.
Fourth-placed Petersfield Town recorded a crushing 5-0 home win against Loxwood with Harrison Cable netting twice and Kian Towse, Tom Dinsmore and Robert Tudway also on the score sheet.
